Introducing Africa to the OMG community
Instragram is a great spot to see images and learn about places and people. Peter DiCampo talks about how his project "Everyday Africa", which showcases images of everyday life across the subcontinent, blew up on Instragram amongst social media enthusiasts - labeled as the "OMG community". He explains that because Western society is exposed to images of "Africa in need", we often ignore images that show the contrary and humanize African communities.
